Good evening. Tonight, we are going to finish up chapter 22, and then we will actually finish the book of Luke by looking at chapters 23 and 24 tonight as well. Because of cancellations, it’s been a long time working on this book of the Bible, but tonight we will finish that, and then next time we will have a review of the books of Leviticus and Luke.
And to get started tonight, let’s just go ahead and jump right into tonight’s text. Whoever has that first key, go ahead and read that for us please. (READ 22:63-23:25)
Why do the guards treat Jesus as they do?

Well, it is right after the resurrection, but these 2 followers of Jesus are still sad and confused. In this passage we see how Jesus comes alongside them and lets them talk about their disappointment and shattered dreams. And then he gives them great healing and hope.
Why didn’t they recognize Jesus when He joined them?

Why do you think Jesus acted as if he was going further?
Why did Jesus make a special appearance to Peter?
